Hi there... I'm Pat, and welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is my sacred space where I pour my soul into pixels and code. I'm completely obsessed with all things dark, beautiful, and mysterious. Whether it's creating digital art at 3 AM, debugging Python code, hunting for the perfect black lace top, or just staring at dragon art for hours, I'm totally here for it.
I've been making websites since I was like 12 (learned HTML from a library book, no joke) and I'm completely addicted. There's something magical about taking an empty blank page and filling it with YOUR vision. Same with digital art — I love that moment when a piece finally comes together and you realize u've created something that never existed before. Dragons are basically my life tho. Like, they represent everything I love: power, beauty, mystery, and a touch of danger.
My style is definitely gothic. I'm drawn 2 dark colors, moody atmospheres, Victorian aesthetics mixed with modern edge. Think Evanescence meets The Cure mixed with Tim Burton. Fashion-wise, I live in black, deep purples, fishnet, and leather. I take a LOT of photographs—mostly at night, of interesting textures, shadows, and weird architecture. My camera is basically an extension of my soul at this point.

Right now I'm seriously into graphic design and thinking about colleges for art/CS. The intersection of art and code is EVERYTHING 2 me. Like, web design combines visual aesthetics with technical problem-solving. Digital art requires understanding both the creative eye AND the technical side. Photography is all about understanding light and composition. These things feed each other.
I'm also weirdly passionate about dragon lore—like, I've read every dragon fantasy book ever, I collect dragon figurines, I draw dragons constantly, and I can talk 4 HOURS about dragon mythology across different cultures. My dream is 2 create a fantasy world with my own original dragons and tell stories about them. Maybe as a game someday? Or an animated series? Who knows, but dragons are my forever thing.
I've been creating digital art since I was like 13. Started with MS Paint (lol) and gradually upgraded 2 actual design software. My style is heavily inspired by gothic art, anime, and dark fantasy. I love working with shadows, high contrast, rich colors (especially reds, purples, blacks), and creating mood. Most of my pieces have 2 do with dragons, dark creatures, or moody atmospheric scenes.
Photography is newer 4 me (started like 2 years ago) but it's become my favorite way 2 capture the world. I'm obsessed with night photography, textures, reflections, and creating surreal moods through lighting. Black & white photography especially—there's something so pure and emotional about it.
Current Projects:
- Large digital painting of Nightshade (my OC dragon) — 75% done
- Gothic architecture photography series (10 photos so far)
- Character design studies — exploring different fantasy races in my dark style
- Web design portfolio site (using HTML/CSS, learning new techniques!)
I take commissions sometimes! Mainly small stuff like custom avatar art or icon design. If ur interested, contact me thru guestbook. ✦ Coming Soon: Art Gallery Section! ✦
(Full art gallery coming next update — still scanning & organizing!)
If there's one thing that defines me, it's dragons. I've been obsessed since I was like 8 years old when I watched "Dragonheart." Now I'm older and my appreciation has evolved into full-on dragon mythology/fantasy nerd status. I've read EVERYTHING: D&D lore, Chinese dragon history, dragon mythology from every culture, every dragon-centered fantasy book. Dragons represent POWER + MYSTERY + BEAUTY + DANGER. They're solitary, majestic, intelligent, and completely captivating.
Dragon Books I've Read: Eragon series, Wings of Fire, The Hobbit (Smaug!!!), How 2 Train Yr Dragon, plus like 20 dragon fantasy novels. My bookshelf is basically 40% dragon content at this point. No regrets.
Dragon Lore I'm Obsessed With: Chinese dragons (symbol of wisdom + power, water association), European dragons (hoarding treasure, often villainous which is interesting), Japanese dragons (more benevolent, celestial), Korean dragons. The mythology is SO RICH. Different cultures have such different dragon concepts!
My wardrobe is basically 90% black. I'm completely committed 2 the gothic aesthetic. The way I dress reflects my personality—dark, mysterious, a little bit dangerous, but ultimately just ME expressing myself in the most authentic way possible. Fashion is art u wear every day. It matters.
Essential Gothic Pieces:
- Black fishnets (always, any season, with everything)
- Long black skirts (flowy, Victorian, or leather-look)
- Band t-shirts (especially Evanescence, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy)
- Black combat boots (Doc Martens if I can ever afford them omg)
- Corsets and corset-style tops (the BEST)
- Lace & velvet (texture is everything)
- Silver jewelry + chains (no gold, that's a rule)
- Black eyeliner (like, ALWAYS, sharp wings are my brand)
- Dark nail polish (usually black or deep red)
I shop @ Hot Topic, Spencers, some indie goth shops online, and thrift stores (where u can find AMAZING vintage stuff). My dream is 2 eventually afford real Victorian goth pieces from specialty designers but that's like... expensive lol.
Fashion Icons: Dita Von Teese (she makes goth elegant), Siouxsie Sioux (ORIGINAL goth queen), anyone in Evanescence music videos, Tim Burton muse vibes. Also honestly just inspired by nature—dark forests, night, shadows, mysterious things.
HTML saved my LIFE. Seriously. Learning 2 code opened up this whole world of creative expression. I love the intersection of art + logic. With web design, u get 2 be simultaneously creative AND technical. It's the perfect combo 4 my brain.
Languages I Know:
- HTML — Obviously! Built this whole page from scratch
- CSS — Love styling things, experimenting w/ colors & layouts
- JavaScript — Still learning but getting better! Working on interactive effects
- Python — Currently studying, want 2 get really good at this
A Basic Python Function I'm Proud Of:
def is_dragon_name(name):
"""Determines if a name is cool
enough 4 a dragon"""
cool_names = ["nightshade", "emberclaw",
"shadowfang", "drakonis"]
return name.lower() in cool_names
# u know the answer
print(is_dragon_name("Nightshade"))
# Output: True !!!
I'm working on a personal portfolio site 2 showcase my web design + art work. Also thinking about making a dragon lore database website—like a wiki of all my dragon characters. That would b SO cool.
